In a surprising partnership that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the official release, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of prohibited practices and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The plot features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret cult.
The mission focuses on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
