Cars in Germany's City Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Police reported they were notified by a resident who discovered a car in Hanau smeared with red-colored liquid

Around 50 vehicles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm police.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postboxes were marked, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Law enforcement report they were notified late on Wednesday, when a resident noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued fluid.

The substance had been placed in the shape of a swastika, they reported.

Police then located multiple other smeared vehicles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are banned in Germany under regulations outlawing the public display of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement report early analysis suggest the liquid was likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no clue as to where it came from; investigators are not yet aware of any injuries in connection with the incident," they commented.

City officials stated they were working "to solve the incident" and have requested to the public for information.

A senior official stated the vandalism rendered him speechless and needed to be resolved quickly.

"This incident hits the center of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he wrote on social media, referring to the murder of nine victims by a shooter aiming at people of foreign heritage in five years prior.
